It's unclear whether the new device will also be included in a bundle

The team in charge of the Xbox One at Microsoft announces that it is collaborating with retail chain Best Buy in order to launch a Special Edition Midnight Forces Wireless Controller for the home console, which is designed to offer gamers a new option if they are bored by the standard one which comes with the device.

The official page states, “Equip yourself with the Xbox One Special Edition Midnight Forces Wireless Controller, featuring a modern camouflage pattern and unique military look. Impulse Triggers deliver fingertip vibration feedback, so you can feel every jolt and crash in high definition.”

It’s unclear whether Microsoft has plans to deliver the new controller via other retailers in the future or whether the device will be included in a bundle at a future date.

The Xbox One might get a slight boost in overall sales from the new Midnight Forces Wireless Controller and the company might continue to deliver various versions of its accessories in order to offer fans new options for their console.

The rival PlayStation 4 from Sony has managed to get past the 10 million units sold worldwide and Microsoft is at the moment no longer offering updates on its own sales numbers.

Sources are saying that a new price cut might be delivered before the end of the year.
