Microsoft has confirmed that it too will have a system in place for downloadable Xbox One games, which will be available for play while they're being transferred from Xbox Live.

Sony's PlayStation 4 impressed quite a few gamers with its new technologies, like the Play As You Download one, which allows users to play games while they're being downloaded.

Now, Microsoft has confirmed to Polygon that it too has a similar technology that allows Xbox One games to be played before they're finished downloading from the Xbox Live Marketplace.

According to the company, it's basically the same system that allows retail Xbox One games to be played while they're being installed in the background by its operating system.

Considering lots of big games will be offered via the Xbox Live for Xbox One and the PS Store for PS4, it's great to see that these technologies are present to help speed things up.
