After Microsoft announced that it was delaying the launch of the Xbox One in a number of countries to 2014, including Sweden, the team working on Battlefield 4 was quick to voice its disapproval of the decision.

Alan Kertz, the lead core gameplay director working at DICE, states via Twitter that, “I see Microsoft seems intent on making it easier and easier to pick #PS4 for Gen4 in Sweden.”

Gustav Halling, a lead gameplay designer, says that the delay of the Xbox One is a good way of making sure that the PlayStation 4 from Sony gets a lead in terms of sales.

Battlefield 4 is set to launch on both next-gen consoles and the team working on it has said that the game will include a number of enhancements linked to the improved hardware.

The Xbox One lacks a solid launch date, but both it and the PS4 are expected to arrive in November.
