InfoScout, an analysis firm in the United States, says that the Xbox One home console has managed to defeat its rival, the PlayStation 4, in terms of sales during the Black Friday period.

The company is quoted by CVG as saying that the Microsoft platform has managed to secure a 31 percent market share, while the Sony device has only reached 15%.

The older Wii U from Nintendo has not managed to move above 6 percent.

When it comes to video games, the winner of the period was Call of Duty: Ghosts, the first-person shooter created by Infinity Ward and published by Activision.

It was followed by Disney Infinity, Skylanders: Swap Force and Grand Theft Auto V.

The analysis firm has not offered solid sales numbers for any of the devices or the software titles.

Other analysts believe that the PlayStation 4 will outsell the Xbox One in the period before the end of 2013.
