Microsoft has announced a really interesting winter holiday promotion for all of its upcoming Xbox One hardware and game bundles, slashing their prices in the United States of America by $50 (around €39) and offering even more savings for users starting on November 2 and ending on January 3, 2015.

The Xbox One came out almost one year ago, launching first in 13 countries and subsequently in many other regions from around the world. Unfortunately, it was soon obvious that Sony's PS4 was the preferred next-gen console, thanks to a better price and more performance, at least in the beginning.

However, thanks to a price cut attained by removing the new Kinect sensor from the standard Xbox One bundle, the console has started picking up Steam, especially when other deals were factored into the equation.

Special price cut is coming to holiday bundles

Now, for the upcoming winter holiday season, Microsoft wants to have an advantage over Sony's PS4 and confirms that, starting on November 2, a $50 (€39) price cut is available on all the different Xbox One bundles in the U.S.A., leading to pretty big savings of up to $150 (€118), according to Microsoft's Corporate Vice President, Yusuf Mehdi.

"Fans don’t have to wait for Black Friday this year to enjoy great savings on Xbox One. We’re offering our best price yet, with unprecedented choices and value, so more people can play on Xbox One this holiday," he tells Xbox Wire. "We’re gearing up for one of our biggest holidays ever and we are thrilled to offer fans up to $150 in savings on Xbox One and some of the biggest blockbuster games of the season."

Many bundles are available during the holidays

Microsoft is rolling out quite a few attractive bundles this holiday season, focusing on some of the most anticipated games of the fall.

These include a special Xbox One Assassin's Creed bundle priced at $350 (€275) and including Assassin's Creed Unity as well as last year's Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. There's also the Xbox One Assassin's Creed bundle with Kinect, which costs $450 (€354) and also includes a Kinect sensor and Dance Central Spotlight.

Customers can also enjoy the Xbox One Special Edition Sunset Overdrive bundle for $350 (€275) that has a white console and wireless controller, a digital copy of the title, and special in-game items.

Last but not least, for those with a hunger for more storage, there's the Xbox One Limited Edition call of Duty: Advanced Warfare bundle, which includes the game, a custom console and controller, as well as a 1TB hard drive.

The deals are available only at different U.S. retailers like GameStop, Amazon, Walmart, and more, and there are no plans to bring the discount to Europe or other parts of the world.
