Better OneDrive integration and explanation on how it works

Microsoft recently announced OneDrive integration with its Xbox Music application on Windows Phone. This means that users will be able to listen to their music collection while on the go without having to store it on their devices.

Even though that will require a stable Internet connection in order to listen to music, many Windows Phone users have access to Wi-Fi network most of the time.

On the other hand, you can keep only certain music files stored on your phone by choosing to make them available offline. You can replace them later on with other songs, so you can keep the phone's storage amount at a low level.

Now Microsoft announced there's a new update available for Xbox Music application for Windows Phone, but this one isn't as big as the last one (which didn't quite require an update).

Better OneDrive tutorial and easier streaming tracks download

So, according to developers, the update is meant to make it easier for Xbox Music users to understand what OneDrive integration with the application really means.

In this regard, Microsoft has added better explanation of how to get started with OneDrive in the Music application on Windows Phone 8.1.

Aside from that, there's one more tweak that developers have included in the update, which is supposed to make it easier to download music on your phone from the cloud.

With the latest version of Xbox Music for Windows Phone, when users set a playlist to “Keep playlist offline,” it will automatically download all streaming tracks, whether for Music Pass or OneDrive.

We should mention that the OneDrive integration does not require a Music Pass, but those who own one will be offered an extra 100GB of free OneDrive cloud storage for their music collection.

You can now download Xbox Music for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. The application is only compatible with devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1.
