Great news for Windows Phone users who lost hope of Microsoft being able to bring back Live Tile support to its Xbox Music application, as the long time lost feature might be reintroduced sooner than we may think.

According to WindowsBlogItalia, some Xbox Music private beta testers already have the feature available on their version of the application.

It looks like the Live Tile support is only tested for Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1, so it’s unclear what will happen for those who own a Windows Phone 8.1 handset.

Xbox Music and Video are regularly updated by Microsoft with new features and improvements, so the next update for the former app may indeed include the feature that was available in previous versions of Windows Phone.

Given the fact that Xbox Video app has already received “twice per month” update, we expect the Music application for Windows Phone to get a new update in the next couple of days.

Keep in mind though that Microsoft may or may not include Live Tile support for Music app in the next update, but the important thing is that the company is now testing the feature and is likely to implement it very soon. We’ll keep an eye out for any additional details on the matter, so stay tuned for more on this one.
