Microsoft today rolled out an updated version of Xbox Music on Windows 8.1 in order to fix some of the issues it found in the previous builds, but also to add some new options.

According to the official release notes, depending on the amount of space on the screen, the shuffle and repeat buttons are displayed on the playback bar, so you can access them easier.

At the same time, “you can now grab the folder path for songs in collection (select one and choose Properties) so you can find them quickly in File Explorer It's easier to tell what's playable when you're offline and what isn't – particularly on an artist page!” Microsoft explained.

Except for these improvements, the feature lineup remains unchanged and includes tools to manage your personal music collection, create and edit playlists, listen to radio, import playlists from iTunes, buy songs and albums and see artist details, such as pictures, bios, album lists, and related artists.

Of course, the update is available on both desktop computers and tablets running Windows 8.1 or Windows RT 8.1, so it's enough to launch the store to get it instantly. At the same time, you can also download Xbox Music for Windows 8.1 manually if you do not wish to wait any longer.
