Xbox Live and the Xbox Baby

- Victoria Marie Figueroa, the Xbox 360 daughter

By: Calin Ciabai, Games Editor

There are many voices out there that demand a new Xbox 360 console, while everybody else really hopes it will happen sooner rather than later. While Microsoft has no plans regarding a next... next-gen console, some people took the situation into their own hands and decided it's the right
time to have an Xbox 360 baby. Or, at least, see how this whole deal would look like in the real life.

It's the sweet story of Stacy and Mike Figueroa, who met on Xbox Live and killed each other a few times before realizing that they actually should be making love, not war. However, the truth is that there would have been no love if Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Lockdown hadn't been available for the world to play – that's the virtual world where the couple met and decided they should try getting to the next level together.

Victoria Marie Figueroa, their lovely daughter, is the proof that virtual and real lives can shake hands every now and then and have a really happy ending. After all, violence in violent games - such as Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Lockdown – does not lead to violence in the real life. Research this, you scientists, you!

"Funny thing is, we hated each other at first, but somehow ended up falling in love," said Stacy, the happy mother. "I was from Georgia and he was from the Bronx. On a leap of faith we met, and we have been together ever since. If it wasn't for Xbox LIVE, our paths would have never crossed."

However, even though we have a really sweet love story – that only us, geeks, can really understand – Victoria Marie is not the first baby that entered the real life after her parents met in the virtual worlds. That honor actually goes to Noah James Osmer Pitts who was born in January of 2005. The thing that makes us think about the whole situation for a while is that Noah's parents met while playing Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Island Thunder. So, after all – these love stories happened because of the Xbox or because Tom Clancy's titles are totally awesome?
