But it needs developers

Xbox Live is one of the most important online services designed for the Xbox 360 console made by Microsoft. It provides a top-notch environment for gamers and for the companies that create the titles and it receives newer and newer features everyday, with the likes of Facebook, Twitter or Last.fm being set to appear in the near future.

That is why Microsoft aims to keep on improving the service in order to further attract new people into buying an Xbox 360 and keep the present users loyal to the console. But it seems that things might not be confined to the console in the near future as a new job application tells a few things about the direction in which the online service will be heading.

It is quite similar to the “Live Anywhere” concept that was revealed by Microsoft quite some time ago, but thought to have disappeared from the roadmap of the service. This job listing for a “Live community director” seems to confirm that we will see the service in a lot of places soon enough. Microsoft is looking for someone who would be asked to do many things including:

“...manage Microsoft's Live community strategy and execution across a range of properties, from Xbox Live to Windows Mobile. This senior position will play a vital role in the community space as the Live Engagement team builds and programs Microsoft's next-generation, Live-enabled casual and social gaming platform across the Web, the console, mobile and beyond.”

Seeing as how many mainstream features are being implemented into Xbox Live as we speak, a service that will incorporate many attractive features and be portable enough to be present anywhere might be a winning strategy for the Redmond-based company. Hopefully we will know more in the near future straight from the large software corporation.
