Microsoft has detailed all of the content and promotions it will be hosting on its Xbox Live online service, so that all Xbox 360 owners are able to know ahead of time when to log into their accounts.
The month of January will be great for Activision and Electronic Arts fans, as Microsoft is set to host discounts of up to 50 percent on content from the two large companies.
Activision content released for Call of Duty, including Map packs, as well as Guitar Hero tracks or arcade titles will see their prices slashed between January 11 and January 17.
25 pieces of EA content, from Arcade titles to DLC for other games, will also be discounted from January 18 to January 25.
In case you're still an Xbox Live Free user, January will be a great time to make the jump to a
Gold subscription, as not only will Microsoft be holding a free Gold weekend, from January 28 and January 31, but also a special upgrade promotion.
If you pay for an Xbox Live Gold Family Pack this month, you can download a free game, Snoopy Flying Ace, or a free movie rental from the Zune service.
New content was also released for Avatars and the Arcade section.
