There appears to be an issue regarding Xbox Live, affecting mainly Xbox 360 users, and preventing them from joining online games.

Microsoft's very own server status page reveals that there are currently some problems regarding connectivity on Xbox Live, with Social and Gaming being listed as Limited on the Xbox 360 platform.

The Xbox Live Core Services, however, are up, as is most of everything else, with the exception of the PBS and Viki Inc. apps.

Some users, however, are also reporting difficulties signing into Xbox Live, the multiplayer gaming and digital content delivery service, on the Xbox One computer entertainment system as well as on mobile platforms.

Several reports have been made by people using the Xbox One Live iOS app, as well as the SmartGlass app and My Xbox Live on Android, with all apps experiencing problems due to the Xbox Live outage.

Some users are recommending turning off Internet, then turning on the Xbox console (cold start, not from standby mode), letting it try to sign in, then turning the Internet back on and waiting for a few minutes, and letting the console try to connect to Xbox Live automatically, as a possible solution.

The company is working on getting the issued resolved as fast as possible, and hopefully the problem will be solved shortly.
