14 DAY TRIAL // Bad news for Xbox One owners as Microsoft has just confirmed Xbox Live for Social and Gaming services are unavailable at the moment.
The statement was issued a a few hours ago and affects only these two services for Xbox One platform. Basically, this means Xbox Live members won't be able to join other members of the service.
Here is Microsoft's official announcement regarding the Xbox Live current issues:

Joining other Xbox Live members in online games Posting game performance or viewing the performance of other Xbox Live members

If you’re having some issues joining the “Squad Assault” game mode or viewing the leaderboards for Call of Duty: Ghosts, we’ve got your back. We’re hard at work with our partner on getting you back into the game as quickly as possible. Thanks for your patience while we work! We’ll update you on our progress as soon as we can.”
Microsoft did not disclose any details on the cause of these issue, but we will keep an eye out for any additional info so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
