The traditional Xbox Live Fall Update has just been launched by Microsoft, bringing new features to the online service, including improved voice chat, Zune Music, enhanced Netflix capabilities and, most importantly, support for Microsoft's new Kinect peripheral which will be launched for the Xbox 360 late this month.

Microsoft has made a tradition out of upgrading the Xbox 360's interface every fall, but this year is a bit more special as the Fall Update brings support for the new Kinect motion control peripheral.

The new technology, at least according to Microsoft, will completely revolutionize how people will interact with their Xbox 360 and introduce lots of new games that will attract new gamers.

In preparation of Kinect's launch on November 4, in North America, and November 10 in Europe, Microsoft has just deployed the Xbox Live Fall Update.

Incorporated in the new update we have things like a brand new, redesigned dashboard, the capability to search in the Netflix feature for new movies, as well as enhanced voice chat support.

Microsoft has also added the Zune Music service, a simplified QWERTY virtual keyboard, a new design of the Games Marketplace, a changed Avatar system so that the characters will look better when playing Kinect games.

Last but not least the company also added an enhanced wireless network connection system, which will display all of the detected networks within range, and allow for an easier connection.

The new Xbox Live Fall Update has just been deployed today, November 1, in North America, and will soon hit other territories.

Besides the new features though, the price for the Xbox Live Gold Subscription has been increased, from 50 to 60 U.S dollars a year.

The Xbox Live Silver subscription has also been changed, but only in its designation, as it is now referred to as Xbox Live Free.
