After sending out special Xbox 360 consoles to veteran members of its Xbox Live online service for the 10th anniversary of the feature, Microsoft has now decided to open up the festivities to all Xbox Live members through some special contests and giveaways.

The original Xbox came out back in 2001 and, in November of 2002, Microsoft released the special Xbox Live online service, which allowed multiplayer matches to take place between owners of the console.

Since then, 10 impressive years have passed and Microsoft now wants to celebrate the anniversary of the online service with a few special contests.

First up, Xbox 360 owners can enter a competition to win one of the customized consoles that are being sent out to Xbox Live veterans nowadays, plus a free copy of Wreckateer. You can check out the contest at this link.

What’s more, Xbox Live Gold members can now enjoy a 50% discount on all sorts of great games, namely Castle Crashers, Battlefield 1943, Fruit Ninja Kinect, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, Bastion, Peggle, and Full House Pocker.

Xbox Live community manager Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb is also organizing a giveaway of 1-year Gold memberships, so check out the full details on his blog.
