The team in charge of the Xbox Live service at Microsoft admits that the service is currently suffering from a number of issues that affect both the Xbox One and the 360 and the company is currently investigating the causes and seeking a solution.

The areas of the service that are currently not functioning perfectly include: game features access, retrieval of data from cloud storage, game video capture, matchmaking for online games, access to other members' profiles and the purchase of content bundles.

Microsoft says that two of the most affected titles are Titanfall and Forza Motorsport 5 when it comes to online play, while the purchase of content associated with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Fable Trilogy, Twisted Pixel and Halo 4 has the biggest issues.

The team explains that, "We have a great team of engineers who are working diligently to get these issues resolved as quickly as they can. We're grateful for your patience while we work. Please check back in 30 minutes for an update."

It's unclear what might be causing the Xbox Live problems, but Microsoft will aim to eliminate them as soon as possible in order to make sure that gamers remain committed to the subscription service in the long term.
