Windows Phone 7 operating system should bring a nice range of chances to the manner in which Microsoft sees mobile phone usage, and the gaming capabilities of upcoming devices are included here too. Besides offering access to Xbox LIVE and a new mobile gaming experience, the Games hub on Windows Phone 7 comes with a great deal of other appealing features, including connectivity with Xbox LIVE members.

Microsoft already unveiled a list of Xbox LIVE titles that would be available for Windows Phone 7 early adopters as soon as the OS is launched on the market, but it seems that access to these games is not all that Xbox LIVE integration on WP7 is set to offer.

Among the other features that users should have access to when it comes to Xbox LIVE on Windows Phone 7, we can count Xbox LIVE profile and Avatar connectivity, the possibility to stay in touch with Xbox LIVE friends, access to the full game library, messaging, and more.

Here are some of the features Microsoft details on Xbox LIVE on Windows Phone 7: - Game access. Easily view and launch your full game library from a single location; find, try and buy new games either in the Marketplace or Games hub. - Achievements. Earn, view and track Achievements, view Xbox LIVE leaderboards and build your Gamerscore across Xbox 360 and Windows Phone 7 - every time you play an Xbox LIVE title. - Multiplayer. Invite, connect and play against friends on other Windows Phone 7 phones or the PC with turn-based (asynchronous) multiplayer gaming. - Spotlight. Access Xbox LIVE Spotlight feeds, including the latest game titles, breaking news from Xbox LIVE, game tips and tricks, and more.

All of these features are complemented by a long list of titles that should be available for Windows Phone 7 straight from launch, and which is expected to include far more titles in the coming months. Content from Microsoft Game Studios (MGS) would also be available.

“Windows Phone 7 is the launch of a major gaming platform for Microsoft. Just like we’ve done with Xbox 360, our charter is to push the envelope and deliver definitive games that maximize the platform,” Matt Booty, general manager of mobile gaming for MGS, commented.
