Despite rumors and reports, Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella has reiterated that he has no plans to sell the Xbox division to another company, as he believes the current direction for the hardware group is a good one.

Microsoft's Xbox 360 has been doing really well in the last few years but, since the launch of the Xbox One in November of 2013, things have been going downhill.

The new console is slightly less powerful than its direct rival, Sony's PS4, and games have been shown to run better on the Japanese device.

This, coupled with low sales figures added fuel to the "rumor fire" that Microsoft is thinking of selling the Xbox division as a whole, in order to get rid of it while it still has value.

However, with all the recent changes and the upcoming lower-priced Xbox One, Microsoft's new CEO, Satya Nadella, has mentioned, via Jon Fortt's Twitter, at the Code Conference that he has no plans to get rid of the Xbox division.

"I have no intent to do anything different with Xbox than we are doing today," he revealed, when asked about the future of the Xbox group.

These are great words, especially since Microsoft is investing heavily into this year's E3 2014 press conference, which takes place on June 9 and is set to focus a lot on the gaming aspect of the Xbox One.
