Microsoft has confirmed its massive restructuring process that will see the Xbox Interactive Entertainment division be packed into the much more general Devices and Studios Engineering Group, under the leadership of Julie Larson-Green.

Microsoft's Xbox division has been quite profitable for the large corporation but, just as it was getting ready to release the Xbox One later this year, its leader, Don Mattrick, left the company to join Zynga.

Now, it seems that the rumors about an upcoming restructuring of Microsoft's division were true, as the company has confirmed a huge shakeup in terms of internal teams.

The Xbox division is now a part of the new Devices and Studios Engineer Group, which is led by Microsoft veteran Julie Larson-Green, according to the official website.

The division will supervise all hardware development and supply chains from the "smallest to the largest devices" built by Microsoft, and work with studios that make games, music, video, and other entertainment.
