Xbox Achievement Rewards On Hold

Adjust text size:

Remember Microsoft and Old Spice's program of awarding high ranking players? You know, Xbox Achievement Rewards. Well, the site crashed! So long with winning the big prize and entering the hall of fame, for now at least. Logging on is possible don't worry, but nothing
happens further than that. As soon as you hit the go button, the server pops up the most annoying message you could possibly get, when you're pressed for time in proving your gaming skills: "Sorry we are very busy at the moment, please try again later." It is not uncommon for something like this to happen, so don't wish for their heads on a pole.

The "busy" message tells us two very important things: 1. That Microsoft's approach was a bit shallow, regarding the huge mass of Xbox 360 gamers eager to jump in and join the competition and 2, that there actually is a "huge mass" of gamers eager to prove themselves and win as many prizes as they can, doing nothing but hitting buttons.

It's not very surprising really, who wouldn't want to win some goodies playing games? But, remember the"busy" message. Think of all the gamers who made plans to win the jackpot, who put their alarm clocks wake them at exactly the time they could log on and received the annoying notification that they should try later. Imagine their faces. All they can do now is wait word from others that haven't given up yet, and log on when the server is less busy. Until then, practice is advised.
