Microsoft is set to officially release the next-generation Xbox 720 on the market in November this year, and quite a lot of details will be shared at different events throughout spring and summer, according to a new report.

After many rumors and leaks, Microsoft confirmed yesterday that it's going to present to the world the Xbox 720 (aka Durango) on May 21.

Now, tech blogger Paul Thurrott wrote on WindowsITPro a new article about the next-gen Xbox console, further clarifying his previous speculation.

According to him, the Xbox 720 is going to be released on the market in November and will, in fact, be accompanied by a cheaper version of the Xbox 360.

While the reveal will be made on May 21, a date Thurrott mentioned last month, the full launch lineup of games and features will actually be shared with the world right before E3 2013 in June.

Microsoft will also further discuss the development side of the new console at a special BUILD event in July.
