The Xbox 720 controller is quite similar to the Xbox 360 one, although it's a bit smaller in overall size, according to a brand new report about the next-gen platform.

The Xbox 720 is expected to be revealed at the end of May, according to recent rumors, and now a brand new report has surfaced, focusing on the console's controller.

According to Kotaku, the new controller is quite similar to the Xbox 360 one, as it boasts the same button layout, including the twin analog sticks, the shoulder bumpers and triggers, as well as the central Home button.

The overall size of the Xbox 720 controller is smaller, however, probably because of the rumored, new wireless receiver it includes within it.

The controller won't boast any new types of input, unlike the Wii U's GamePad, which has a touchscreen, or the PlayStation 4's DualShock 4 controller, which has a central touchpad.

Expect to hear more about the Xbox 720 in the near future.
