A brand new report has appeared on the web in regards to the new controller that will be released alongside Microsoft's Xbox 720 later this year, including the fact that it has a better designed D-Pad and that the new wireless technology will result in an improvement of battery life, especially since it continues to use AA batteries.

Microsoft isn't commenting on its next-generation console, codenamed Durango, but new reports about the device are surfacing left and right.

The latest has appeared on PasteBin from an anonymous source and goes into detail about different aspects of the Xbox 720.

The controller for the new device will be similar in design to the current one for the Xbox 360, although the directional pad has been improved, even if it looks practically the same.

The controller will still use AA batteries but, thanks to the new wireless technology that ensures communication between it and the console, their life expectancy has increased by around 16%.

No other details have been shared, but you can expect some official info next month when Microsoft is reported to host a special announcement ceremony for its Xbox 720.
