Yet another report has surfaced on the web, this time coming from an actual video game developer, Xing Interactive, who claims that Microsoft's Xbox 720 will block used games and that it requires a constant online connection to work.

The Xbox 720 (aka Durango) has been heavily rumored in the last few months, with all sorts of reports appearing on the web.

Now, after things seemed to settle down, NowGamer has posted another report, this time quoting Xing Interactive boss David Connolly on the matter.

According to the developer, his own sources confirmed that the Xbox 720 would block second-hand games altogether and that it would require a permanent online connection to work as intended.

What's more, while Sony is opening up the PlayStation 4, Microsoft wants to retain complete control of the console, meaning developers will have to go through it in order to do anything.

Microsoft continues to refrain from commenting on the matter so take the rumor with a grain of salt, especially since previous reports seemingly dismissed used games blocking and the mandatory connection.
