
Concomitantly with the 2007 Games Convention in Leipzig, Microsoft has announced via a press release that the company will continue expanding on its present Xbox 360 market. While the Redmond
Company has confirmed that its console will be launched on September 29 in South Africa, followed by a Eastern Europe release on November 3. The Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia are the intended markets.
"We're incredibly excited to bring Xbox 360 consoles and game experiences into these countries," said Peter Moore, corporate vice president of the Interactive Entertainment Business in the Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft. "Gamers around the world have spoken: They want Xbox 360 and the unique experiences only Xbox 360 affords them. We are doing all we can to deliver."
Microsoft has not been shy in suggesting an array of console accessories to complement the Holiday season and enhance the gaming experience.
The Xbox Live Vision camera is the centerpiece of the synonym package and the Xbox Live Video Chat Gold Kit enabling video chat and Xbox Live network gamertag customization. The Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel is designed to reproduce the authentic driving experience for $149.99 while the Xbox 360 Wireless Headset delivers wireless voice capabilities for $59.99. Now gamers can even use their wireless accessories on Windows-based computer via the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows. The accessories will be made available starting with November and December 2006.
