Black vs White

If the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 are exactly the same, the question: why bother buying one console if you have the other?, would be a normal reaction. Maybe you just want to fill Sony's or Microsoft's pockets. Or maybe you just have a cash overflow.

The previous statement would be true if we were to believe Dennis Dyack, CEO of Silicon Knights. In an interview posted by San Jose Mercury News game blog, Dennis expresses his opinion regarding the two competing consoles. He states that from a graphics power point of view, the Xbox 360 and the PS3 are equal in power in his eyes.

But he mentions that while the PlayStation 3 has more processing power, the Xbox 360 has more available memory. That is why he considers that the two consoles are equals. Dyack adds that in the public eye, the PS3 is revealed as the more powerful console but the game developers consider them equal.

Dennis Dyack's company, Silicon Knights, is currently developing a third-person sci-fi action game for the Xbox 360, namely Too Human. As the game will be published by Microsoft Game Studios (what a surprise), it will come out sometime in 2007.
