Gamers have three versions to choose from

The team at Microsoft might have been focused on improving sales of the Xbox One during the past year and a half, but the company is still manufacturing and selling the older 360 and a new offer seems designed to get it into the hands of as many players as possible in the coming months.

The Xbox 360 Spring Value Bundle will include all currently available versions of the device, two free games and one-month subscription for the Xbox One Live Gold service.

The prices start at 249 dollars (220 Euro) and the offer’s availability is limited based on the regions where players are living.

A 4GB hard drive version of the Spring Value Bundle includes Kinect Sports Ultimate and Kinect Adventure Games, with the motion tracking system included.

The 500 GB version of the Xbox 360 is offered in two versions: with Planets versus Zombies: Garden Warfare and Fable Anniversary but no Kinect, or with Kinect and the two previously mentioned titles.

Microsoft says that the Spring Value Bundle offers are only available for a limited time, but it has not offered any clear end date for the promotion, which probably means that it will stay in effect for the entirety of spring as long as interest from gamers is high.

The Xbox 360 can appeal to some gamers

There's a lot of value in the bundles that Microsoft has announced, but the 360 is no longer an attractive device for most developers and it's very likely that this fall most big franchises will no longer be interested in offering support for it or for the PlayStation 3.

The company is probably hoping that those who do not yet own a home console will pick up one of the new packages and will become interested enough in the experiences they offer to decide to upgrade as soon as possible.

So far, the company has not hinted when it might cease manufacturing or selling the Xbox 360.

At the moment, the Xbox One is lagging behind the PlayStation 4 in terms of sales, despite the lower price, and Microsoft needs to introduce as many new promotions and initiatives as possible in order to try and close that gap fast.
