CD Projekt Red, the studio behind the upcoming The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition, advises players of the new title on the Xbox 360 to install the game onto the console’s hard drive, in order to have the fastest and most impressive experience.

The Witcher 2 delighted millions of PC gamers last year when CD Projekt Red released it for that platform. Since then, the Polish studio has been working on the game’s Enhanced Edition, which is out in April on the PC and, for the first time in the history of the series, on the Xbox 360 console.

We’ve already heard the studio brag about the massive role playing game and how it will probably be one of the most impressive titles on the Xbox 360.

Now, the developer has shared a piece of advice for Xbox 360 owners, telling them to install the game onto their console’s hard drive if they want the best experience.

"If it's possible to install the game [then do so], because the streams will be faster, you'll experience some better visual quality, because the hard drive is much faster than any media," Level Artist Marek Ziemak told Eurogamer.

"It will improve loading times, it will improve the quality of the meshes, probably also because we have faster streaming means faster movement between memory and hard drives, so you'd be able to load the good chunks and then just change them directly from your hard drive."

The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition for the Xbox 360 is set to arrive on two DVDs. Extra features, like a CD with the game’s soundtrack, as well as a manual, a journal with some of the quests and a world map are also included in the regular edition of the game.

Those who pay a bit more for the special Dark Edition can also get a DVD with a making-of documentary, a Witcher medallion, an artbook, as well as some special stickers.

The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition is out on April 17 for the PC and Xbox 360.
