Xbox 360 Isn't Flawless

Two days after its launch, buyers began to claim on forums that some of their Xbox 360 systems are faulty.

Users complain that they have error messages, that the game disks are scratched by the reading unit, or that the system overheats.
Also, faulty hard drives have been reported.

There are also users whose systems seem to work well, without errors and don't blame Microsoft for Xbox 360's flaws, claiming that every new device has problems immediately after its launch, but they are going to be fixed in a very short time.

Microsoft officials say: "We have received some isolated reports and calls of consoles not operating as expected. The call rate is well below what you'd expect of a consumer electronics product of this complexity" (Molly O'Donnell, Senior Manager of Global Xbox Public Relations)

It seems though that Microsoft is prepared to face the situation, and has prepared the telephone number 1-800-4MY-XBOX. Call here if you need repairs or a replacement, a shipping box will arrive overnight, and a replaced system will come back in maximum 5 business days.
