Xbox 360 - Have an Idea for a Video Game? Share It with The DORITOS

Also win hardware that you've never even dreamed of owning

Tired of reading news or watching behind the scenes/making-of DVDs of your favorite games? If so, here's your chance (not as in "here on Softpedia") to express your video game ideas. The DORITOS are giving you this "once-in-a-lifetime" opportunity to write your favorite scenery and characters and who knows, maybe even see them implemented. And if it's not fame you're after, then win a surround system, a plasma TV or why not even an Xbox 360 Elite.

Now I've got your attention! The official post on XboxLiveAddicts reads: "You know you've got it. The vision. The inspiration. The dream. Whatever you want to call it, it's what makes great video games great, and it's inside you. Here's your chance to let it out. The DORITOS brand is providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to turn those brilliant ideas into the world's first user-generated Xbox 360 video game."

Here's that good part I mentioned above: finalist prizes will include a state-of-the-art surround sound system, a 42" plasma TV, a pro gaming chair (you know you want it), a limited-edition Xbox 360 Elite system (yeah baby!) and every Xbox 360 game title published by Microsoft throughout 2007!

Now, the games ideas that do deserve some attention - the best 5 to be more exact - will be created up to beta point, and then they will enter an open beta stage to get to choose the final winner. Now tell me that's not your dream as a gamer.

Whatever the genre, whatever the storyline or control scheme you have in mind, just let your imagination run loose and come up with the best idea for a video game. The best thing about video games is that you can manipulate the story, the setting and the characters however you like, so basically, just be yourself about this one and I'm sure you'll come up with at least one winning idea.

Here's a direct link to the contest and make sure you fit every little detail in no more than 500 words. Good luck!
