Christina Aguilera stepped out the other day to walk the red carpet at an NBC promo event for The Voice, even though she’s no longer a judge on the panel. She’s decidedly slimmer these days, prompting a lot of fans to wonder how she’s done it.

As we also reported the other day, Christina has seen more than her fair share of ups and downs in both her personal life and her career.

As regards the first, she’s gotten plenty of negative media attention for her yo-yo-ing weight even though, in recent years, she’s been very adamant that she would not succumb to pressure to be stick thin ever again.

So, those thinking that this is precisely what she did now, should reconsider, because an insider tells People magazine that Christina is simply happier and less stressed out these days.

It’s not necessarily that she’s dieting that’s making her shed the extra pounds, but rather the fact that she’s more focused on herself and her well-being for a change.

“Without the grueling production hours, Christina can focus on her music and her son and most important on herself,” an insider explains for the mag.

In other words, now that she’s no longer on The Voice, the singer has more time for herself.

“It's amazing what having some personal time can do, not only for the body but also for the mind and the spirit,” the insider goes on to say.

“She has been trying new types of foods and exploring new methods of exercise. Not for diet or weight, but more for her mind and wellbeing and overall sense of good health,” the tipster shares.

We might as well mention that, since photos of a slimmer Christina emerged online yesterday, celebrity bloggers have also been speculating on whether her cutting down on alcohol might not have been a factor in the weight loss.
