With all the new technologies being invented and refined in the field of 3D, XPAND 3D decided to take an active role in things by reaching out to cinema exhibitors in the hopes of promoting its newest solutions.

XPAND 3D may not have made itself heard overmuch on the IT market, especially on the consumer segment, but it looks like this is changing.

For instance, though some may not have sen it, it wasn't long ago that it collaborated with Panasonic on a 3D active shutter glasses standard.

Now, though it has not made another move on the consumer segment, it tried its expertise on the level of cinemas.

Specifically, the outfit issued a press release in which it describes the 3D Kit and the XPAND ONE Bundles.

The former has a 3D Cinema System and a Doremi DCP-2000 cinema server, while 400 XPAND X101 Cinema 3D glasses complete the set.

Meanwhile, the XPAND ONE has 'only' 200 101 Xinema 3D glasses but the same Doremi DCP-2000 server, plus an XPAND ONE 3D System.

In other words, the XPAND 3D Kit Bundle is for larger theaters, while the XPAND 3D ONE Bundle should do for smaller venues with no more than 180 seats.

“We are very pleased that XPAND has chosen Doremi to be the server provider in its 3D Bundles,” states Michael Archer, Vice President, Doremi Digital Cinema.

“The XPAND 3D technology provides an exceptional experience for the patron and we are happy to be a part of it.”

The XPAND 3D Kit Bundle has a price of $37,310.00, while the XPAND ONE Bundle is sold for $26,780.00.

“Doremi Labs is the world’s leading manufacturer of digital cinema servers and our new 3D Bundles bring together superior technologies in two affordable packages,” says Maria Costeira, CEO of XPAND 3D. “The 3D Bundles enable cinema exhibitors to cost-effectively take advantage of the very best in 3D technology, regardless of theater size!”
