While display makers are trying to deliver eyewear-free monitors, companies that sell said sort of glasses are still determined to serve owners of more standard solutions, leading to new and improved pairs.

There is little doubt as to whether or not makers of monitors and HDTVs want to do away with the need for 3D glasses.

Unfortunately, products like the LG Flatron DX2000 monitor are few and far between, not to mention expensive.

As such, whoever happens to own a 3D display will probably have one of those that still needs watchers to put on a pair of special glasses.

Many monitors and TVs of this type sell in a bundle with the necessary eyewear, but some don't and, either way, customers might find other reasons to buy extra pairs.

For such prospective buyers, XPAD 3D has issued a press release in which it reveals the existence of its newest product.

The glasses are of the active shutter variety and should work in any environment, even in cinemas, not just at home.

“There’s nothing like going to the movies for exciting storytelling and captivating entertainment, and there’s nothing like a 3D movie for feeling like you’re right in the middle of the big-screen action,” said Maria Costeira, CEO, XPAND 3D.

“Our 3D glasses are the ideal way to enjoy 3D entertainment everywhere. Viewers can bring their own pair of glasses with them when they go to the movies, and also use them for 3D viewing at home or when they visit friends or family.”

The list of past, present and future films that are in 3D is sizable but, unfortunately, XPAND 3D did not go out of its way to mention how much the glasses are worth. Still, those that are interested in more of what the outfit has to offer need only drop by this page.
