Lava introduced the XOLO X1000 less than a week ago and promised that the smartphone would go on sale in India in a short while.

True to its promise, Lava has just made the smartphone available for purchase from major retailer Infibeam.

Those who wish to grab this Intel-based handset can do so for only Rs 19,999 outright, which is about $365 or €285. Check it out here.

According to the retailer, all orders are shipped within 24 hours and all customers benefit from free shipping in India. It is also worth mentioning that the XOLO X1000 is only available in black color.

Lava claims it has put a lot of effort into designing the XOLO X1000. The company says it has managed to infuse an attractive look to the phone, which has a unibody chassis, “meaning that the black panel is extended up to the front part thereby encapsulating the display screen inside it.”

Even though we initially thought the smartphone revealed on March 14 would be equipped with Intel’s new Clover Trail+ chipset, Lava decided to embed an older Intel Medfield chip inside.

All in all, XOLO X1000 comes with a 2GHz single-core Intel Atom Z2480 processor with Hyper Threading and 400 MHz GPU.

It also packs 1GB of RAM, as well as 8GB of internal memory which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

This is the first Lava smartphone to boast 4.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution. The screen is manufactured by Sharp.

On the back, the smartphone sports an enhanced 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.

There’s also a secondary 1.3-megpaixel front-facing camera for video calls and a high-capacity 1900 mAh Li-Ion battery, which should provide up to 14 days of standby time or up to 10 hours of talk time.
