As it was expected since March, Indian premium device brand XOLO has rolled out its first Windows 8.1-based tablet.

The tablet goes by the name of XOLO Win and has been made available for purchase on Flipkart with a price-tag of Rs 19,990 / $337 / €249, after being listed with the retailer one day ago.

To celebrate the launch, XOLO and Flipkart are offering the device with a bunch of one-day special offers including Rs 200 / $3 / €2 for customers who rate/review the tablet after they have made a purchase.

Furthermore, ten lucky customers will be getting a Rs 1,000 / $17 / €12 cashback, 50% discount if they buy a Bluetooth keyboard and free pre-selected books worth another Rs 1,500 / $25 / €19.

On top of that, Flipkart has announced an interesting exchange deal for customers interested in purchasing the Xolo Win. Just for a day, shoppers will be able to come in and exchange their old electronics, including smartphones, tablets and even laptops and will be awarded Rs 3,000 / $51 / €37 off the tablet.

With this discount, those willing to jump onboard with Xolo for the Win tablet will be able to grab it for the more affordable Rs 16,990 / $286 / €212.

Interestingly, talk of the Xolo Win surfaced back at CES 2014 and the company claimed it would be marketing the device to both youths and working professionals.

As for specifications, the tablet arrives with a 10.1-inch LED form factor and offers a slightly better than average 1366 x 768 pixel resolution.

The heart of the Xolo Win tablet is a dual-core 1GHz AMD Temash A4-1200 processor working in concert with Radeon HD 8180 GPU, 2GB of RAM and backed up by 32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD).

In the photography department, Xolo throws in two cameras (2MP on the back and 1MP front-facing HD camera). The company says the tablet is capable of providing up to 6 hours of life-juice, but we’re not given the details concerning the exact capacity.

As for connectivity, the tablet includes Wi-Fi, microHDMI and microUSB but note there’s no support for 3G.

The device boasts an aluminum build and comes with a bunch of pre-installed apps such as Kindle, Skype, One Drive and MS Office.

The tablet is pretty light, considering it weights around 750 g / 1.6 lbs, so it should make for an efficient mobile companion to be used for both work and play.
