Indian mobile phone maker XOLO is getting ready for the release of a new affordable Android-based smartphone in the form of XOLO Q900T, and the company has already added the new device to its website.

The handset has been listed online in two color options, namely Black and White, and will sport a price tag of Rs. 11,999 ($200/€144) when made available for purchase.

Unfortunately, the company has not provided specific info on when the phone might be officially introduced, but chances are that this will happen in the near future.

As fonearena notes, the new device, the latest in XOLO’s Q CORE family of smartphones, should land on shelves as the successor of XOLO Q900. Basically, this means that it will be capable of offering better performance capabilities when compared to the predecessor.

The XOLO Q900T has emerged on the company’s website with a 4.7-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS touchscreen display and is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor.

Given the “T” in its name, the phone is expected to feature a MediaTek MT6589T processor inside, which will supposedly be accompanied by a PowerVR SGX544 GPU.

At the same time, the new mobile phone is said to pack 1GB of RAM inside, along with 4GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot capable of offering support for cards of up to 32GB in size.

On the back, the upcoming XOLO Q900T will sport an 8-megapixel camera with BSI sensor and LED Flash, also capable of recording videos in full HD resolution. Moreover, it will sport a 2MP front camera for making video calls.

XOLO has also listed the new handset on its website with support for 3G networks (HSDPA: up to 42.2 Mbps; HSUPA: up to 11.5 Mbps), as well as with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity.

Moreover, the phone will hit shelves with a built-in GPS receiver packed inside, as well as with support for USB On-the-Go (OTG), which should provide users with a bit more freedom when it comes to storage.

XOLO Q900T is powered by a 1800mAh battery and will arrive on the market with the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top right from the start.

However, considering its hardware capabilities, the phone might actually receive an upgrade to a newer version of the Android platform in the not-too-distant future. As mentioned above, XOLO should start selling the new phone soon, so keep an eye on this space for updates on this.
