Indian OEM XOLO has quietly launched another mid-range Android smartphone, the Q1011, which we already reported on a few days ago.

Today, however, it looks like the company is back with yet another affordable handset powered by Google’s mobile platform, the Q2000L. Just like the previous mode, XOLO did not officially introduce the smartphone during a dedicated event. It just started to sell the device through various authorized retailers.

Speaking of which, potential customers who would like to give XOLO Q2000L a try can buy it through Indiatimes Shopping for Rs 10,299 ($170 / €125) outright.

The smartphone is available in both black and white colors and the retailer claims that orders ship in 4-7 business days, so keep that in mind before making your purchase.

The main selling point of the XOLO Q2000L is the fact that it ships with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box, but aside from that, there aren’t too many specs that would make it stand out from other devices in the same price range.

XOLO Q2000L is aimed at Android enthusiasts who prefer large screens, but can’t afford to purchase devices made by HTC, LG or Samsung.

The big 5.5-inch IPS LCD qHD (540 x 960 pixels) display is another strong point of the mid-range smartphone, if you can get past the low resolution.

Anyway, the smartphone offers dual-SIM capability with dual standby support, which was expected, considering that the Q2000L will only sell in India. It also comes with FM Radio function, another feature that customers in India are interested in.

On the inside, XOLO Q2000L is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Broadcom BCM23550 processor, which is complemented by a Videocore IV graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

That’s quite decent for a mid-range smartphone, but the bad news is that at least several Android handsets launched in India in the last couple of weeks have similar hardware and are priced much lower.

On the positive side, the Q2000L boasts an enhanced 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features BSI sensor, LED flash, autofocus and full HD (1080p) video recording. There’s also a secondary 2-megapixel camera in the front for video calls and selfies.

Connectivity-wise, XOLO’s smartphone offers the standard package that includes 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS support and microUSB.

It’s also worth mentioning that the Q2000L packs 4GB of internal memory, microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 32GB), and is powered by a 2500 mAh battery.
