XOLO has already confirmed that its new Hive UI will be launched in the first week of August along with its also first octa-core smartphone, the Xolo Play 8X-1000.

However, the Indian OEM did not disclose any details regarding the exact release date of its next flagship smartphone. The good news is that the folks over at NDTV Gadgets have just received an invitation to a XOLO launch event, which is set to take place on August 6.

This means that the Xolo Play 8X-1000, along with the new user interface dubbed Hive, will be launched next week. It’s also possible that the smartphone will go on sale the same day or around the same timeframe.

As mentioned earlier, the Play 8X-1000 is XOLO’s first octa-core smartphone. Other than that, few details are known about the unannounced device.

We also know the handset will boast a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that would support HD (720p) resolution and might feature Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating for extra protection.

Obviously, we expect the smartphone to be powered by the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box and to support dual-SIM capability. It will also be important to see how much Xolo Play 8X-1000 will cost. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
