Indian OEM XOLO has just confirmed that the first smartphone to come with the new Xolo Hive user interface will arrive in the first week of August.

Dubbed Xolo Play 8X-1000, the smartphone will also be the company’s first device equipped with an octa-core processor. Even though XOLO is still mum on the Play 8X-1000’s specs, they were already leaked online last month.

Those interested in getting the Xolo Play 8X-1000 next month should know that the smartphone is likely to sport a 5-inch HD (720p) capacitive touchscreen display that features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

Little else is known about the unannounced smartphone except for the fact that it will be packed with 2GB of RAM. The custom Hive UI will be available exclusively on the Xolo Play 8X-1000 only for a limited time, after which it will be implemented into some of the existing models as well.

Unfortunately, there’s no telling which Xolo smartphones will get the new Hive UI and when, but we expect more info on the matter to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

More details on the new Xolo Hive UI are now available on its official page, along with some screenshots and the list of features.
