We reported yesterday that Indian company XOLO launched a special edition of the Q800 Android smartphone and now it looks like the handset maker has released two brand new devices aimed at the entry-level market.

XOLO A500 L and XOLO A500S target Android users who cannot afford to purchase a high-end smartphone, but still wish to take advantage of various features, such as dual-SIM support, large display and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Both smartphones offer these features and can be purchased for quite low prices. As AndroidOS points out, XOLO A500S is now available for purchase via major retailers across the country for only Rs 6,499 ($105 / €75) outright.

The A500L is even cheaper, as customers will only have to come up with Rs 5,999 ($95 / €70) upfront. Keep in mind that both smartphones come with dual-SIM support, so you will be able to fit in two SIM cards in each device.

Specs-wise, XOLO’s smartphones are far from being impressive, but are quite decent. For example, XOLO A500L comes equipped with a 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor, which is complemented by 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage.

Users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD card slot. It is also worth mentioning that the A500L sports a 4-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution, a 3-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

XOLO A500S comes with the same 4-inch WVGA display and is powered by a similar 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572W processor. It also packs 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Last but not least, the A500 features a slightly better 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash, autofocus and video recording, as well as VGA front-facing camera for video calls.
