Indian mobile phone maker XOLO has some more smartphones ready to become available for purchase in India in the near future, and the company has already unveiled a new one, in the form of XOLO Play 6X-1000.

The new smartphone marks a new milestone in the company’s history, as it is the very first handset in its lineup to be powered by a MediaTek MT6591 Hexa-Core processor.

Over the past several weeks, XOLO made official a nice range of new phones, including devices running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8.1 OS, but it seems that the vendor is actually set to make sure that it can offer a product for every user category out there.

The XOLO Play 6X-1000 is proof of that, as it arrives on shelves with powerful gaming capabilities, while featuring a price tag of Rs. 14,499 ($242/€178) attached to it.

“Get started with an exclusive XOLO Play Zone where you can choose from an expansive collection of high quality HD games, download for free and play till you win! You can also buy the paid games at a 75% discount,” XOLO notes.

The company has already added the new smartphone to its website, though users cannot purchase it just yet. However, this should happen in the very near future, a recent post on fonearena reads.

The mobile phone was made official with a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and should deliver appealing performance capabilities to its users, courtesy of the aforementioned 1.5GHz hexa-core CPU, which is paired with Mali 450 graphics.

Moreover, the new XOLO Play 6X-1000 arrives on shelves with 2GB of RAM, as well as with 8GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot, with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

On the back, the handset features an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and BSI Sensor, which should also be capable of recording videos in full HD resolution. Moreover, it comes with a 2MP front camera for making video calls.

The specs list of the new smartphone also shows dual-SIM capabilities, for 3G (HSDPA: 21 Mbps, HSUPA: 5.76 Mbps) networks, and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 capabilities.

At the same time, the device sports a built-in GPS receiver, along with support for USB OTG and a 2100mAh battery for long usage times. XOLO Play 6X-1000 runs under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out-of-the-box, but it also sports a series of pre-loaded apps and services coming from XOLO itself.
