XGIII: Extreme G Racing, also known as Extreme G 3, is a video game that was developed Acclaim Studios Cheltenham and was published by Acclaim Entertainment, Inc.
The game was launched on the PlayStation 2 home gaming console from Sony and on the Game Cube in August 2001.
The game is being described as a racing and driving simulator that is being played from a third-person perspective and has elements taken from cyberpunk and the larger current of science fiction.
Most reviewers received the game well and gave it scores around 8 out of 10 with the
notable exception of the PlayStation Magazine which gave it just a 5.
The Extreme G series makes no claim to realism and its unique selling point is delivering games that feature high-speed bikes that blast each other with high-power lasers.
