The high-end video card includes an Origin key for Battlefield 4

The Radeon R9 290X is AMD's newest video card, and it should come out soon. Until then, we have to make do with leaks, like the one that exposed the XFX adapter not long ago.

A Danish retailer, ProShop, posted the XFX R9 290X. As expected, it is a reference design.

Not that we can expect non-reference models any time soon. AMD will forbid the customization of the Hawaii-based board for a while.

Maybe some non-reference boards will debut in time for the holidays, maybe not.

Anyway, the XFX graphics card has a price of around $1,550 / €1,550, so I'd strongly advise against pre-ordering it. Sure, it has an Origin key for Battlefield 4, but that's supposed to be free anyway.

When AMD finally releases the card (shouldn't be long now), the price ought to be of well below $1,000 / €1,000. At around $699 / €699 if previous reports prove valid.
