Following its recent announcement regarding the decision to join AMD and design Radeon-powered graphics cards, XFX recently introduced its very first HD 4000-series-based GPU lineup. The company is now capable of providing its users with new video solutions based on the HD 4870, HD 4850, HD 4830, HD 4650 and HD 4350 graphics processors.
With the announcement, XFX joins other graphics card makers, such as Gainward, which has switched from being an NVIDIA exclusive GPU manufacturer, now providing products based on solutions from the two leading graphics chip makers, namely NVIDIA and AMD.

According to the company, the new cards have been designed to provide users with the very best gaming experience, enabling XFX fans to enjoy the performance capability of the GDDR5-equipped HD 4870. All cards are said to boast exceptional memory bandwidth, board power and compute power, enabling higher-performance levels for desktop gaming rigs. Unlike the GeForce-based graphics card, developed by XFX, the new ones leverage features that are currently only available with Radeon-based graphics processors.

Some of the features that the new XFX Radeon-based graphics cards come with include superior scalability, support for DirectX 10.1 and HDMI connectivity. In addition, as with all Radeon-based video solutions, users will be able to take advantage of the ATI CrossFireX technology, enabling higher levels of performance that can be achieved by connecting more than one card in a single desktop computer system.

Designed for gaming enthusiasts, these new cards are said to provide performance for almost every budget. However, the manufacturer is yet to announce the specific pricing details of its new products. The company did state that it would be offering cards with both reference design and a factory-overclocked graphics processor.
