The company who chose like BFG and eVGA to produce only NVIDIA based products, XFX goes to the lengths of becoming a fully fledged name in the computer industry by introducing its newest product line the 600i series motherboards.

There are only two motherboards in XFX's line of products, they having mentioned that they supply products for the enthusiasts and their "unique needs". The models are the XFX 680i SLI and XFX 680i LT SLI. The same as the rest of the models based on the same chipset, they have features like support for NVIDIA SLI technology and SLI Ready memory with Enhanced Programming Profiles (EPP), also supporting High Definition Audio (HDA).

The 680i LT SLI is a new model, aside from being new in XFX's line of products, and features dual PCI Express slots, each running at full x16 speed. It also supports 1333MHz FSB for Intel's new processors that came with the refresh of their product line. NVIDIA MediaShield Storage and TCP/IP Acceleration are also features that the motherboard supports.

XFX's notoriety for producing only the best solutions for gaming, their overclocked series of graphics cards has given them a name in the computer industry, one they will have to maintain with this new line of products they are venturing into. There have been cases in which companies which were good at one type of computer components didn't have the expected success with other lines of products.

I hope this isn't the case of XFX, but their fame is based on manufacturing factory overclocked video cards, and although motherboards are also overclockable, they only have this feature when you mount a processor on them, and compared to the video cards, have a large range of components that can be added to them by the user, thus making factory overclocking somewhat of an impossibility.
