Neither XCOM: Enemy Unknown nor Dishonored has failed to dislodge FIFA 13 from the top of the United Kingdom for the week that ended on October 14, showing the strength of the football simulation from EA Sports.

FIFA 13 managed to break the sales record of the series during its first week worldwide and has also become the fastest selling sport title ever launched.

The game will probably continue to dominate the United Kingdom chart until the early November launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, the first-person shooter from developer Treyarch and publisher Activision.

Dishonored, the stealth-based first-person adventure game from Arkane Studiso and Bethesda Softworks, has managed to get second place in the United Kingdom during its first week on sale, while the last place on the podium was occupied by Black version of Pokemon Black and White 2, from Nintendo.

Resident Evil 6, the zombie shooter from Capcom which took second place during its launch week, has slipped down to the fourth position and shows little potential for a climb back up the chart.

The White version of the newest Pokemon game is in fifth place, followed by yet another new launch, Just Dance 4 from Ubisoft.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the tactics and strategy title from Firaxis and 2K Games, has managed to debut in seventh place despite the fact that the genre it promotes has not been popular for some time.

Borderlands 2, the stylized shooter from Gearbox, has slid the farthest, going from third during the previous seven-day period to eighth, while F1 2012 has also seen a significant decline, going from fifth place to ninth.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim continues to benefit from the launch of the Heartfire DLC and closes down this week’s United Kingdom chart.

NBA 2K13, Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 and Rocksmith are out of the top ten.
