Distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attacks are making a lot of headlines these days and many companies say they represent the main operation threat that an organization can face. Since DDOS attacks play an important part in the information security industry, it’s no wonder XBT Holding has paid $100,000 (€73,680) for the DDOS.com domain.

XBT is the hosting, network solutions and web development company that owns Webzilla and Servers.com.

This is a significant acquisition for XBT, particularly since the company is planning on developing advanced DDOS protection solutions that combine both ongoing attack mitigation methods and preventive measures.

The company is confident in its future DDOS protection offering as it’s being developed by security professionals of Servers.com, Webzilla and other XBT subsidiaries who have a lot of experience in mitigating such cyberattacks.
