Wow,
Xbox Live Arcade fans have had quite a week. I can't even remember how much content Microsoft has thrown in and most of it free. Today, it's not free - well, not all of it - and although there's nothing new either, some older XBLA downloadables have been updated. According to Xbox Live's Major Nelson, this is the lot:
"Title: Mad Tracks
Content: Mad Tracks - Bravo
Price: 350
Microsoft Points
Availability: All regions except Korea
Title: Band of Bugs
Content: Band of Bugs - Map Pack 1
Price: 150 Microsoft Points
Availability: All regions
Content: Band of Bugs - Map Pack 2
Price: Free
Availability: All regions
Title: Soltrio Solitaire
Content: Soltrio Solitaire - Game Pack 4
Price: 150 Microsoft Points
Availability: All regions
Title: 3D Ultra Minigolf
Content: Expansion - 3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures: Lost Island
Price: 400 Microsoft Points
Availability: All regions
Title: Alien Hominid HD
Content: Alien Hominid HD - Challenge Pack
Price: 150 Microsoft Points
Availability: All regions"
So, you've got Mad Tracks for 350 MS points; Band of Bugs for an incredibly affordable 150 points which, if bums had a 360 and a black-and-white TV set, they'd get right away; then there's the Bugs' expansion pack which again, bums will be happy to find out that it's free of charge and that they don't have to trade-in their cans; then you have Soltrio Solitaire which I'm curious to see if anyone even bothers to look it up; 3D Ultra Minigolf along with its expansion - 3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures: Lost Island, sounds fairly good for 400 points and last, but not least, to the joy of bums worldwide, Alien Hominid HD for just 150 MS Points.
You have to admit, even though
Sony doesn't charge much with PlayStation Network, Microsoft's doing a hell of a job at keeping up with the competition. Stay tuned by the end of this week. Maybe, just maybe we'll see a cheap next-gen downloadable. Keep your fingers crossed!
