XBL - Mutant Storm Empire Goes Live Tomorrow. New Screens

Just as every week goes, as soon as Nintendo rolls out the press release for its Wii-kly update, so does Microsoft for their Xbox Live additions. Since Halloween is on its way, Microsoft and PomPom Games (developer) are releasing Mutant Storm Empire this Wednesday (tomorrow), also announcing a bunch of other exciting titles, soon to become available for download via Xbox Live Marketplace.

Mutant Storm Empire is a sci-fi action game that has players crushing gangs of robots, smashing swarms of UFOs and demolishing massive enemy bosses, as the official report confirms. This latest shooter from PomPom Games is the sequel to Mutant Storm Reloaded and it features 16 levels spread over four richly detailed and varied worlds, in which players can move from one room to another "without having to enter a loading screen." Mutant Storm Empire also features multiplayer LIVE support for two people, in addition to offline co-op.

As for the coming weeks, these are the games you should be looking out for, as Microsoft themselves have confirmed:

The report also mentions that by the end of the year, Xbox 360 gamers will have as many as 100 downloadable games via XBLM, including dozens of next-gen remakes of older classics and "original intellectual properties," such as Undertow, from Chair Entertainment Group.

This fast-paced action-shooter launching within the following weeks sends gamers underwater to battle with up to 16 players for control over the oceans, while they race to upgrade their units and engage in non-stop conquest-style battles through multiple levels. The game is said to offer one of the best visual experiences ever seen in an Xboc Live title.

As for the earliest date to become available, Mutant Storm Empire launches this Wednesday (tomorrow) for 800 Microsoft Points. Be sure you have the cash ready for it, 'cause this one's a must have and the screens below confirm it.
