The latest entry in the X Universe has been released for Linux

X3: Albion Prelude 3.0 is the latest version released in the X Universe and now it’s available on Steam for Linux.

According to its developers from Egosoft, X3: Albion Prelude plays in a time between the old and the new X Universe. It shows a universe in flux, and prepares players for things to come.

The new release for the Linux platform also incorporates a series of new missions and full support for gamepads.

Highlights of X3: Albion Prelude 3.0 for Linux:

• Shady Business, Corporation Troubles, and Breaking Grounds plots have been added; • Controller support has been added; • The game now works on Steam for Linux; • Terran factories are now available in shipyards.
